~ ՊԱՐԲԵՐԱԹԵՐԹ ~
2021 | Issue 13 - 13 August / Օգոստոս
From the Principal
The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC - Governor of NSW
Her Excellency the Governor of New South Wales has shared a video message of thanks and encouragement for our school community.
I would like to start by acknowledging that as Remote Learning has continued, it has been a challenge on a number of levels, not the least of which is not being able to come together to learn and share our lives. Thank you for all you are doing to support your children who are doing a remarkable job learning from home supported by our fantastic teachers.
As you are aware, the NSW Government and Health are continuing to address a worsening health situation in terms of the Delta strain. They have reversed their position for a return to face to face teaching and assessments for Year 12 in Greater Sydney on August the 16th.
In terms of Kindergarten to Year 11, the government has not yet issued advice on whether face to face teaching can resume in Term 3 after 28 August. Please be assured that at Alexander School, we are planning engaging and innovative ways to keep the quality learning going, should remote learning extend to the end of Term 3.
We will continue to keep you updated based on the most recent health advice that puts student and staff safety as the highest priority.
To our students, keep up the great learning - we love seeing your work come through and are proud of how hard you are working.
If you have any concerns, no matter what they are, please contact your child’s teacher or the office and we will do whatever we can to help you.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Remote Learning | Kindergarten
AGBU Alexander Primary School students have been successfully following their “Remote Learning” plan since the start of Term 3. With all its challenges, the school community has achieved great outcomes thanks to the wonderful support of teachers and parents. We like to share the following fun activities from our Kindergarten classroom with Mrs Colette Mardirossian-Serobyan.
We also like to take this opportunity and warmly welcome Mrs Colette to the Alexander community, where we’ve had the pleasure of seeing her join our dedicated team of teachers since the start of term.
Mrs Colette is a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with a Bachelor of Arts Psychology and Diploma of Education from Macquarie University.
Happy Birthday to…
